The Witcher 3 may have a permadeath “Insanity” mode
Although not yet confirmed, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt developer CD Projekt RED is working on a difficulty mode dubbed “Insanity” that will delete your save if you die.
During Monday’s Twitch stream, the developer took a few questions from the chat and we’ve got a bunch of answers. There are many interesting little bits of info that were revealed, so keep reading.
CD Projekt RED is toying with the idea of an “Insanity” mode where your save would be deleted if you die, although the developer has not committed to all the details just yet.
In regards to the often discussed choices that we made in The Witcher 2 and how they’ll impact the state of the world in 3, the developers said that at the start of the game, you’ll come across a character that will recite your past adventures, and in doing so, you’ll get to correct or agree with what they’re saying.
It sounds like the game is coming along nicely, and that the two delays were warranted.
