In a promo clip for “The Voice” season 13, Christian youth leader, Brooke Simpson sang so well, she made the show new coach Jennifer Hudson throw her book at her.
Simpson performed Demi Lovato’s “Stone Cold” and blew all the judges away.
“I had to throw my book at you, and that is a compliment,” new coach Jennifer Hudson said to Brooke.
According to the Christian Post Brooke Simpson is a Lee University graduate (A Church of God school in Cleveland, Tennessee) the same school “The Voice” season 9 winner, Jordan Smith attended.
The clip cut’s off right before Brooke decide’s on which coaches, team she will join.
