I do not want to see the Affordable Care Act repealed (or defunded or delayed), because it did fix a few problems with health insurance in the United States. But it was almost like putting a band-aid on a gaping wound -- it just wasn't enough. Much more needs to be done to make sure all American citizens can have access to decent health care when needed (as is true of almost all other developed nations). Americans pay twice as much per capita for health care, and that expensive health care is not available to millions of people. We need to start by recognizing decent health care as a right of all citizens, and then go to a government-run single-payer system (like Medicare for everyone, only better).
