The Stake House has the solution to all your vamper problems: silver nail polish, pure all-wood vampire stakes, silver netting, chains to restrain vampires, garlic, silver air spray and UV house paint.

The Stake House

To introduce the Stake House in the script, writer Mark Hudis wrote: “Vampires not being neighborly? You’ve come to the right place!”

The Stake House clerk is played wonderfully well by Todd Giebenhain. This is the casting call he responded to:

[CLERK] 30s to 40s. The kind of guy who buys pork rinds, he lives in a trailer and works at the Stake House, a home protection store that sells weapons designed to hurt vampires.

Redneck Casting

Writer Mark Hudis had a very specific guy in mind when he described the Stake House clerk in the script: “Ever wonder who buys pork rinds? Now you know.”
