The Rosehip Oil Addiction

Happy Tuesday folks! I’m here to talk about the rosehip oil addiction. If you don’t know what rosehip oil is and its benefits, where have you been? Rosehip oil is extracted from the hip after the rose has bloomed and the petal fallen off. The oil is said to be very beneficial for the skin and contains many awesome fatty acids and vitamins.

Rosehip oil may help with:

  • Reducing stretch marks and appearance of scars
  • Increase skin hydration
  • Diminish wrinkles
  • Help promote skin elasticity

The lovely people at RosehipPlus sent me a pack of goodies to try at home. I’ve been using the day and night cream everyday and the rosehip oil 2-3 times a week at night.

Here’s a little bit about RosehipPlus:

Launched onto the Australian market in 2012 by The Rosehip Specialists, RosehipPLUS Australian Certified Organic Rosehip Oil is one of the finest quality Rosehip Oils available. Now two new creams are being introduced to the Australian made and owned range, offering the best in natural, Australian Certified Organic and cruelty free skin care.

osehip plus hydrating day and night cream

RosehipPlus Hydrating Day Cream – RRP $19.95 75ml

The hydrating day cream contains 95% organic ingredients. The key ingredients in this cream is rosehip oil, chamomile, avocado oil and rose geranium. The cream is a soft light texture and a little goes a long way. It absorbs quite quickly and doesn’t leave the face oily. It’s great to use underneath makeup as well.

RosehipPlus Nourishing Night Cream – RRP $29.95 50ml

The nourishing night cream also contains 95% organic ingredients. The key ingredients in this cream is rosehip oil, cocoa seed butter, Jojoba Seed oil, Shea Butter. The cream texture is similar to the day cream and absorbs quickly too. For a night cream, I do prefer a richer consistency but I haven’t noticed any drying on my face so it’s great that it’s light and moisturising. After using the cream for a week, I’ve noticed my skin tone looking more clearer.

rosehip plus rosehip oil

Rosehip Oil Skin Boost Roll-On – $14.95 15ml

I won’t talk about the bottled rosehip oil because I’m sure I’ve talked about it in some of my previous blog posts. I’ve been using rosehip oil for years now and I’ve always used it in the dropper bottle. This roll-on packaging is sooo much better. It can be applied directly onto the face or body and the roller ball applies just the right amount of product on. The packaging is small, so you can have it in your travel (under 100ml) or makeup bag. The Skin Boost Roll-On gives the same benefits as the bottle rosehip oil but 5x easier to apply.

Have you tried rosehip oil and do you love it?
