The Rochester Gluten Free Guide Summer 2016 is here

We are well into Summer 2016 and I couldn’t be more thrilled. Every year it seems like summer sneaks up like a thief in the night and this year was no different. Hopefully you and your family are enjoying the long days, late nights, and early morning sunshine. Ideally you are soaking up as much sun as you can, and being as well as you possibly can.

Speaking of wellness, that’s the theme of this issue. Women in Wellness to be specific. This issue has been a long time in the making and I am so happy to finally be able to bring it to you.

Since returning to Rochester in 2013 (after a brief stint in Nashville) I have had the pleasure of meeting countless Rochester area women doing more than amazing work in the areas of health, fitness, wellness, nutrition, mental health, and beyond.

These allstars come from all walks of life and specialize in a diverse array of fields but are all connected by a sense of passion, work ethic, and commitment to helping everyone find their own personal sense of wellness. This issue’s pages are filled with their stories, their images, and their lives.

I hope you find inspiration from these phenomenal women and that their stories help you reach your own personal wellness goals.

Wellness is doing the best you can with what you have.

Remember, wellness isn’t perfection. Wellness isn’t absence of sickness. Wellness is individual and specific to you. Wellness is finding peace amongst tragedy. It’s finding balance in a world filled with excess. It’s finding beauty within imperfection. It’s doing the best you can with what you have.

Only you can define wellness for yourself and hopefully your definition will expand after reading these inspiring stories.
