The Review: Maxfactor Excess Shimmer Eyeshadows
I was very kindly sent a few of the new Maxfactor Shimmer Eyeshadows which are due to be released in November and thought I would do some swatches and tell you all my thoughts. I was sent three shades -  "Bronze" "Onyx" and "Pearl"
The Review: Maxfactor Excess Shimmer Eyeshadows
From L-R, Pearl, Bronze & Onyx.
Not gunna lie, Bronze was right up my street and I loved the color the moment I set eyes on it. Pearl seemed like the perfect highlighting color and Onyx seemed like something I would wear on a night out.  All of them are really highly pigmented and you need only a tiny amount to cover the eye.
In terms of texture, these feel quite 'mousse' like, they feel a bit spongey and are more like a mousse than a cream shadow. I love the texture but it is so easy to use too much product, use a very light hand!
These lasted all day long on my eyes without creasing or fading which I was super impressed with. When I first saw these, I thought they would be quite good gel eyeliners, but there is nothing 'gel' about them and I wouldn't necessarily use them as an eyeliner because of the texture and the fact that these are super shimmery (PS - Please bring out the matte shades Maxfactor!)
If you were thinking these would be similar to the color tattoo shadows by Maybelline, then prepare to be surprised! These are completely different to any eyeshadows I've ever used, and trust me, as a beauty blogger and self confessed beauty junkie, I have tried a lot!
I'm not sure how much these are set to cost because they are yet to be released, but being Maxfactor, they will be a drugstore price, making these an absolute bargain. I would pay over £20 for these, love them.
Let me know if you plan on snapping some of these up when they are released or if you think they won't be worth the hype..
All My Love
