As I look at my beautiful, handsome,
boy, sometimes I think God gave him to me to experience what the
purest form of love was. Don't get me wrong, I love my husband and
my daughter with everything I have but it's the way my son loves me,
so unconditionally, and shows me in all kinds of ways, in his own
way. It's the way he looks at me and cocks that half-smile, or grabs
my face when I'm close and kisses (in his own way) my cheek, all full
of slobber, and does it several times and then lays his head on my
shoulder or just looks at me and smiles again. It's the way he's so
happy to see me, even when I've stepped away for a moment and
return, he turns his head to the side and offers me a sweet smile,
which makes me think he's saying, “There's my mama. Hi mama. I
love you.” I know if Noah could say “I love you,” his words
would sound and be just as sweet as how he just naturally shows it.
I am honored and proud to be your mom
Noah. Sometimes I don't think I deserve you, but you make me want to
be a better mom, wife, friend, and all-around good person. It's
because of the way you naturally make others smile, just by being
you, little man. Just in one short year, you've shown me what the
purest form of love is and I hope that continues as you grow because
it makes you so truly special. I love seeing you so happy and full
of joy. Full of laughter. Full of curiosity. You are my perfect
little man. I just love being in the moment with you. You are my
son. I love you Noah and thank you God for giving him to me, to be your mama.
