Buzz worthy books of the weeks

Grant Morrison

18 Days #1

Grant Morrison goes sword and sandal with this meeting of the minds, three generations of warriors preparing to save the world. Morrison describes it himself, “This is not a Lord of the Rings or a Star Wars where the good guys win because they are right. The good guys in 18 Days are forced to cheat and lie and break rules to win. Although it has fantastic, mythic trappings, this is a very modern story of realpolitik and the failure of ideals in the face of harsh truth.”.

Broken World #2

The first issue was so good. And set up quite the status quo. The world is going to end and they actually figure out a way to save the bulk of the population. Only a few get left behind. But the end of the world as it was predicted never happens, and the leftovers get to lead long lives alone.

Nailbiter #14

I’m not really sure what is happening. They keep teasing the answer to why Buckaroo has so many serial killers. This finally be the one.

Ninja Turtles

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #47

Out of the frying pan, into the fire. The Turtles, the Mutanimals, the Purple Dragons, the Foot Clan, and the armies of Dimension X have just had it out. And now Baxter is throwing in his cyborg-human-fly army.

X-Files

X-Files Season 10 #25

Unfortunately, I lost track of this book. Last time I read it the issue numbers were still in single digits. Anyway, with the new season coming up, I wonder how much will be canon.
