The Growth of Tourism in South Africa 2012

The infographic explains the current growth of South Africa’s tourism industry. Despite the global economic crisis the country has seen a 10.5% increase in tourism in the first half of 2012. South Africa has seen over 1,163,477 total overseas tourists in 2012 with the majority coming from the Americas (+24.5%), Asia & Australia (+34.3%), and Europe (+11.9%). Some of the top reasons why people visit South Africa include value for the money, hospitality, and the beautiful scenery.
