The Gro Company | A Closer Look

By Livedwithlove @kerrymarie
Since having Aria, we have been tested out the Gro products we were sent back in October so I thought I'd give you a closer look and tell you what our thoughts are.

The first thing we tried is the grohush which is a baby calmer that transmits soothing 'white noise' directly to your baby. As I have mentioned before, Sienna was a big fan of white noise so we were excited to try this. You can choose from 3 different sounds; a heartbeat, falling rain or waves, all of which are soothing to babies.

It's easy to use and hold thanks to the large strap on the mitt and is also comfortable for baby. The mitt is 100% cotton and quite padded so is gentle when held against baby's ear (it is also machine washable for hygiene) and has a preset volume of 75 decibels which is a safe level for baby.

I'm a big fan of this product, it really does help soothe Aria when she's overtired and just wants to sleep but can't comfort herself. I didn't use it much in the first week as she was so sleepy anyway but as the weeks go on I find myself using it more and more. It's also a great size for the changing bag so you can take it out and about with you in it's case and I love how only your baby can hear it, it makes it perfect to use in more public places than just an app playing the sounds out loud. It's such a clever and unique product!

Next up is the grosnug and this is another thing we have been loving. Aria is such a 'mover', even when she sleeps.. always a bit restless, kicking her legs and stretching out. In her moses basket when she was first born, she was forever kicking her blankets off at night so the grosnug was and is perfect for her. She's not one to be swaddled so doesn't like her arms in but with this you have both options which is fab.

It has ample room for her to stretch her legs out but also room for her to resume the newborn 'froggy' position that she loves. The side zip also makes it convenient for nappy changes. It is one size fits all (from 5 to 12lbs) so you don't need to worry what size they will need either. It comes in two weights; cosy and light which is great for the different seasons and it does come in different patterns too.

Since she was born, Aria has been such a hot bod which has had me worrying constantly if she's too hot or too cold and what clothes to put her in. I don't need to worry at night though thanks to the groegg! It's a really innovative digital room thermometer that gives an accurate reading of the room. I love the sleek, modern design of it, it's perfect for any room or decor and the fact it lights up makes it so easy to see. It's fab for the middle of the night when I'm half asleep.. I don't need to try and concentrate on the numbers or guess how warm/cold the room is feeling, just a quick glance at the color will tell me if the temperature is ok.
We were already big fans of the Gro Company having used a few of their products with Sienna however now I would say they are definitely one of my favorite baby/toddler brands. All the products are not only practical but easy to use and really do work. You can tell a lot of work has gone into the design and function of every product and that's what makes them so mommy friendly!

What's your favorite Gro product?
