The Glamour Edit – First Impressions

By Beautybykaris @beautybykaris

Hey There,

Did you know that Latest in Beauty have teamed up with Glamour magazine to give us 9 products that they have chosen, worth £86.00 all for an incredible £16.95. I mean the Illamasqua lipstick alone is £18.50, not only have I got myself a complete bargain, but a box full of incredible beauty goodies.

When I start telling you about the rest of the contents of my Glamour edit box, you can imagine how eager I was to get my hands on it, (Like a kid at Christmas). After hearing Liza from Glambeautys talking about it, and seeing what was inside, I had to order one for myself straight away, panicking that there wouldn’t be any left for me.

So lets get to the fun part…the contents.

Magnifibres

SAM_1547

This was actually pretty good timing, as I have been using my Magnifibres so much, that this can now be my back up for when the other one runs out. Magnifibres are basically an alternative to false lashes, they are meant to be a fuss free version, and you literally just brush them on. See my full review here.

DHC Cleansing Oil

SAM_1543

If you read my skincare post last month, you will know that I have been using a Loreal cleansing oil, and have had my ups and downs with it. I’m looking forward to trying the DHC one, as its a new brand to me, and I’ll see how it compares to the Loreal one. My friend has already given this the thumbs up, so I have got some good expectations of it, (Fingercrossed).

Illamasqua

Do I even need to tell you about this one. I am a huge Illamasqua fan, I am just too poor to prove it. I used to work opposite the counter in Cardiff, and would love playing around with their make up. When I heard Illamasqua were launching a new range of nude Glamore lipsticks, I was certain I would get one, and now I am the proud owner of Tease, a lovely pinky beige lipstick, which even my mom is trying to steal from me.

Crabtree & Evelyn

Now that is what you call a red polish, a nice deep but bright shade of red, just how I like my reds to be. I’m not one to paint my nails red very often, but I do think it is such a classic colour, I’m keen to try this one out, and see how well it lasts, (Keep an eye out for my next Mani Monday).

Bourjois Paris – Cream Blush Nude Velvet

SAM_1551

This is not only the first blusher I will be trying from Bourjois, but the first cream blush too, (How exciting). I’m normally a powder blush kinda girl, but I’m up for trying new things, especially when the color is this gorgeous – a warm peachy nude, which would be great for a day time look, and would go perfectly with my GOSH Mandarina lipstick.

Toni & Guy – Glamour Volume Plumping Whip

SAM_1548

To be honest with you, I haven’t had much luck with hair products which promise volume. I’m not sure whether its the products that just aren’t actually any good, or whether its because of the length and condition of my hair. I’ve just stuck some on my roots, as I type, it smells quite refreshing actually – lets hope when I dry my hair its gone wild. Fingers and toes are crossed for this product.

Hawaiian SPF 30

SAM_1550

So not only is my mom after my Illamasqua Tease, the red polish, but she’s also after my Hawaiian sun tan lotion. To be fair, I have just come back from holiday *Sad face*, and she is about to go on one, so I might be nice and give it to her, and get her to review it. She keeps banging on bout what a good brand Hawaiian is, as if she is trying to be subtle.

Rimmel Instant BB Tan

SAM_1549

Well this takes me back to freshers, I think Rimmel instant tan was the turning point for me and I rarely go on a night out now with out a coating of fake tan, (Once you have applied it once, it is hard to go back to those pale days). All us girls used to use the standard Rimmel tan in first year, it was such a bargain, and really came up dark. You just knew you would have to avoid the rain at all costs, as streaky does not even come close. I’ve moved on to other tans since then, such as Xentan, and ST Moriz, so it will be nice going back to where it all began. I have to say the BB skin perfecting element of this new tan is quite exciting, hopefully it make my pins look good. And I even got a new tanning mitt.

Which product would you choose out of the box?

Keep an eye out for my future posts, as I will be reviewing each of these, let me know which one you would like to see first.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Lots of love,

KBxx
