The Eat Street

By Rohit Dassani

Eat Street is an open restaurant in Koramangala which has a similar concept were stalls serve different menu items just like a food court. The outlet has a large number of such stalls including one for Chaats, Parathas, Desserts, Fast Food, Chinese and so many more. What really makes this place unique is its different and open environment meant for enjoying with every bite of you take. This place is located close to Sony World signal and is only few steps away from the main road.

As soon as we entered the place was bubbling with crowd with soft music as around. We came to know that a local band would be playing in a while. The place has seating both on the top floor and on the basement where all the stalls are situated. We made ourselves comfortable in one of the tables. There is not a single menu and you have to visit each and every counter to check their menu. Also most of the food don’t have salt as per the Indian palate, as they serve food with minimalistic salt content to please everyone! Also the outlet runs on postpaid card where you can have all the food and then pay later all at once.

We ordered the Lime Mint Cooler and the Blue Heaven from the fast food counter. Both the drinks were decent in taste. Then we moved to the Chaat counter and tried the Pani Puri and the Aloo Tikki Chat. The waiting for the Pani Puri was more than 10minutes but the combo was delicious. The waiting for the Aloo Tikki Chaat was even more, but the taste was amazing and probably one of the best Aloo Tikki Chaat I had in a while.

We also ordered the Veg Hakka Meal which included the Veg Hakka Noodles, Manchurian gravy and Coke. The combo was again decent but the Manchurian Gravy was good in taste. Next we tried the Paneer Tikka Roll, the roll was sweet as it had almost no salt and had to add it from the top which ruined the actual taste of the roll. Next came in the Curry with 4 Roti combo. The roti were made fresh per order and the curry was great!

Lastly we had the Bananaaa!! Pancake. This pancake was different than usual pancakes as it had banana embedded inside the Pancake. The pancake was topped with chocolate sauce and nuts, plus to added whipped cream from the top to make it complete. Anyways the Pancake was delicious and quite filling.

Well Eat Street turned out to be a lively place with a huge menu option to please everyone. Some of the food was really delicious and probably the place should ask customers with their salt preferences first before they make anything.
