Lots of people have experienced various difficulties in learning a new language. This difficulty is even highlighted more when a typical person—say for example is a native English speaker—chooses to learn Chinese language. This is honestly the kind of bridging that takes time and lots of effort.

So since there are difficulties in learning such kind of languages, would there be an easier way to acquire them? Well, the good news is yes! There is indeed a discovered way to lighten up the difficulty in acquiring Chinese as you take its foreign language courses.

A posted article revealed how a person discovered that in learning Chinese, one will make it easier to learn if they know the rules. “The difficult part is to be persistent in memorizing what you have learned. For practical use of Chinese language in everyday live, all you need is 2,000 characters for a start,” says Larry, the author of the said revelation.

Did we read it right? You will memorize the 2,000 characters in the Chinese language? That’s a lot of number. And persistence; well, it is honestly easier to write it and let the learners absorb this word, but this is not always the case. Persistence may not be always present during the long process of learning the language. Nonetheless, if a person is really decisive to acquire the language, then why not get to be persistent then?

Larry clarified that the 2,000 characters is almost equivalent to 10,000 words in English. The number may be too big for a beginner’s level, but since you choose to learn Chinese on the first place, you should be committed to this process. It takes tremendous discipline, dedication and years of practices for completely mastering a new language, especially when the second language has little or no similarities with your own native language.

For an additional tip, going to Chinese-speaking countries will actually help you with your Chinese learning. It has been repeatedly mentioned in our various articles that immersion is one of the most effective learning tool to make you more familiarized with the target language.

So don’t lose hope when you don’t seem to be progressing with your learning. Remember that learning a new language is only difficult in the early stages. As you continue such learning, you’ll be surprised on yourself that you’ve reached a certain level where you can actually speak, write, and understand Chinese amazingly.
