Introducing the Douk-Douk knife, the French Foreign Legion’s blade of choice. This smooth actioned- “Turkish Clip” contoured knife, packs a strong back spring, requiring no locking mechanism to hold it safely open. Originally designed to be sold in the French colonies, and in an attempt to appeal to the local populations its maker emblazoned the handles with curious etchings of native mythological characters (“douk-douks”). The “Sorcier”, a Polynesian spirit incarnation is inscribed into this knife, originally believed to bring good luck. US$32
