Since the start of their career, indie pop duo The Dodos seem to be experts at producing what could possibly be some of the funkiest and most infectious melodies. The San Francisco natives have a new album coming out on January 27th via Polyvinyl Records entitled Individ. As some may recall, last year the band seemed to be in a giving spirit when they released two singles off the forthcoming record. The bold “Competition” was the first single released and the high-strung “Goodbyes and Endings” followed shortly after. With the dawn of a new year upon us and the album’s release date fast approaching, The Dodos unveil the latest song from their sixth studio album. “Retriever” is an electric and temperamental song that has some of the most vibrant, frenzied guitar strumming the band has ever produced, as well as slightly off-kilter harmonies that capture the band’s lush sound.
