0The Copenhagen Wheel – The bike wheel that will change the world
We are all aware of a big coming back of bicycles and bike way of living over the past few years, all together with passion for fixies and stuff, which has set some kind of lifestyle pattern for the modern age.
However, there still a lot of people who are reluctant about using the bike as transportation, as it can be sometimes hard, most of all if you live in a place which needs a lot of climbing.
This problem has somehow been sorted out by the increase of electric bikes around that is good for the purpose, but unfortunately is quite heavy and utterly expensive.
The guys at MIT, who in search for a game changing idea, came up with the Copenhagen Wheel, have offered another potential solution.
But what’s the Copenhagen Wheel? IT’s a device, which gets attached to the bike wheel and stores dynamic energy released while biking and braking and then, through an smartphone application, delivers that energy stored when it’s needed, climbing or just being tired on long distance.
