LA’s The Bulls are launching onto the scene with their slow-burning single, “Come Unwound”. Combining the talents of Airborne Toxic Event’s Anna Bulbrook and The Duke Spirit’s Marc Sallis, the duo have created a unique sound derived from their respective talents and common influences. Drifting in between shoegaze and dream pop, “Come Unwound” delicately moseys along a haunting melody breathily crooned by Bulbrook. Layers of Sallis’ wailing guitar, anthemic drums and even a violin slowly pile atop one another below her ethereal ‘oo’s, sweeping everything into one wall of sound. In following the lyrics, the song’s sullen, yearning dream turns to a hopeful optimism all soaked in a shiny production with plenty of reverb.
