It's been three weeks since my last post, so this is mainly to let everyone know that I'm still alive. I doubt readers care much what's going on with me personally, so I'll be brief: I had an excellent job opportunity that fizzled out, leaving me adrift in a limbo of depression, unemployment and trying to find whatever small pleasures I can derive from life.Beyond my teen-like angst, I've been preparing an article on the Suez Crisis which will mark my professional writing debut. Researching and writing it has devoured most of my time and creative energy recently. I had wanted to post supplemental articles here as research developed; that may still happen, it may not, depending on how much my brain retains once I finish.
Otherwise, I've spent a lot of time reading and watching television. I'm hoping to prepare a write-up on BoJack Horseman soon, but I need to finish the new season first. Hoping, also, that everyone in the path of Hurricanes Irma and Jose remains safe and sound. Trying not to cry or scream watching the evening news as America continues our descent into a banana republic. And angry that Taylor Swift's most recent singles are hot, steaming garbage.
As for movies? We'll see.
