One or two of you have been kind enough to express your good wishes for the 'Memsahib' in her hip operation so this is to tell you that she went into theater at 10.00 am and all went well. 'SoD' and I visited this afternoon and during the course of it her physio arrived, got her out of bed and standing with a frame - and then got her to take three steps to the left before letting her sit down again. That cheered her up enormously. So we left her in good spirits. The miracles of modern medicine!
