Fashion and interior design have a lot in common, as my regular readers have seen in many posts on this blog. Now we have another example how a fashion star makes use of her popularity in the field of interior design. Kate Moss has curated the interior design of the Barnhouse,a luxury home located in a new housing development in the Cotswolds, UK .
"John and I became friends through our love for the English countryside (and the pub)...When he told me about the Barnhouse in the middle of the silver birch wood I was intrigued and then excited to become part of the design team. We have created a luxurious haven in the woods, a perfect place to escape with family and friends."
Kate has restyled the interiors of the Barnhouse, complementing its traditional elegance with a vibrant, retro-glamour vision. To launch her new career Moss plans a lavish party inviting celebrity friends to the bash on October 10.
The mutual influence between fashion and interior design is a stable trend that started several years ago and is now one of the main trends in interior design.
