Some like to think that it is not possible to capture the holiday spirit in Florida, though nothing could be further from the truth, especially if spending time with family and friends along the Emerald Coast. In the past dining in or out for Thanksgiving vacationers could pose a hassle, but not any longer. Check out our cornucopia of local purveyors and restaurants offering turkey dinners to-go and delicious menu options for all to savor,

Local Catch Bar & Grill is a favorite among locals and visitors alike and the owners of this establishment know how to plan a party. Their Sunday Funday has become well know in the southeast, and so will their 1st Annual Thanksgiving buffet dinner taking place this year. Offered from 11am to 3pm, it is not to be missed. Another not to be missed event is their Thanksgiving party taking place on the eve of Friday, November 25th with tunes by Forrest Williams. Call 850-622-2022 for details and to make reservations.

Vue on 30A,  Chef Giovanni Filippone is well prepared each season and knows how to do brunch in style. The Vue on 30A annual Thanksgiving Day brunch usually sells out, so think about making a reservation. Offered from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., expect traditional sides with a coastal flair. Pricing is at $49.95 for adults, $15.95 for kids 6 to 12, and children 5 and under eat free. Marie’s Bistro is a family friendly locals hangout that will be open on Thanksgiving Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and serving a special buffet as well as a holiday menu. Carry out is also an option if ordering by Nov. 21. Pick-up is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 23; or 10 a.m. to noon on Thanksgiving Day. The buffet cost will be $28 for adults, and $12 for children ages 4 to 12. Expect favorites like herb roasted turkey, bourbon ham, shrimp cocktail, smoked tuna dip, plus all the traditional sides you have grown to love. Phone 850-278-6856 for more information.

Harbor Docks located in the heart of Destin has a long standing practice of giving back to our local community, and invites your family to be a guest at their 22nd Annual Thanksgiving Day Dinner. Everyone is welcome. While there is absolutely no charge, donations will be accepted from those capable of making them. All proceeds will benefit Okaloosa Habitat and Destin Harvest projects. Brotula’s Seafood House & Steamer is offering a Thanksgiving Buffett on Thursday, November 24 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. It will include conventional Thanksgiving fare: Candied Honey Ham, Slow Roasted Prime Rib, Traditional Stuffing and Cranberry Dressing, and Brotula’s Seafood House & Steamer’s signature twist on Southern classics like Blackened Red Snapper with sweet corn butter sauce and Bourbon Pecan Stuffing. In addition to Thanksgiving offerings, the Destin Harbor-front restaurant is available for private parties, rehearsal dinners and catered affairs of all sizes. Brotula’s Seafood House & Steamer staff  will work to create a one of a kind menu catered to guests tastes.

Twin Oaks Farm  is offering pre-order certified organic, pastured, soy free local turkey’s for Thanksgiving. Stop by the FarmStand in Grayton Beach or call to reserve yours as soon as possible. Owner and Farmher Renee is open everyday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is requiring a $50 deposit. The turkey’s are $12.00 a pound and worth every penny.

Twin Oaks Farm

Chef Kevin Korman opened Roselie Dining & Seafood Bar earlier this year at 30Avenue in Inlet Beach with his wife Angela. Thanksgiving-To-Go is their specialty and will feed your hungry crew of four. For $135 patrons will choose an appetizer, entree, three sides and a dessert saving all the hassle in order to enjoy more time at the beach. Pick-up is Wednesday, Nov. 23 and the complete menu is online to view. Make sure to get your order in by calling 850-909-0400 by Friday, Nov. 18.
