Thakkali Kuzhambhu

A spicy sour gravy that blends well with Hot rice and best combo for this is the Pavakkai Varuval | Bitter Gourd Roast. Ingredients:Tomato- 5 (Big and ripe)
Red Chilly- 2
Onion- 2  Garlic- 2 Oil-1 tbsp Cumin- 1 tsp Fenugreek- 1/2 tsp Chilly powder- 1 tbsp Coriander powder- 1 tbsp Sambar Powder- 1 tbsp To grind to a smooth paste: Cumin- 1 tbsp Coconut - 1/2 cup shredded Onion- 1 
For seasoning:
Oil- 2 tbsp
Mustard- 1 tbsp
Curry Leaves Few
Method: Thakkali Kuzhambhu  Heat 1 tbsp oil in a wok.
Fry red chilly, cumin, fenugreek.
Add garlic and onions and fry till onion turns golden brown.
Add tomato and salt and cook till tomato is done.
Thakkali Kuzhambhu Let this cool down, then grind the sauteed ingredients to a smooth paste.
Also grind coconut, cumin and onion to a smooth paste with little water.
Thakkali Kuzhambhu Heat the same wok with oil and fry mustard and curry leaves.
Add the ground tomato paste.
Add chilly powder, sambhar powder and coriander powder.
let the mixture boil for 3 minutes.
Add 100 ml water and the ground coconut paste.
Thakkali Kuzhambhu Simmer for 3 minutes and put off. Serve hot with rice and Bittergourd roast. Thakkali Kuzhambhu
