First off, I’m going to review the cleansing wipes that I opted to try out, which was a Tesco Sensitive Cleansing Wipes.Cleansing Wipes and Me: At the minute, I’m using cleansing wipes probably a bit more than I really should be to clean my face and to remove make up. With the weather being quite warm, I’m also finding them to be quite refreshing. But, I also find that using cleansing wipes is more cost effective than buying cleanser and eye makeup remover. Okay, so they might not be the best for my skin, but I’m on a really tight budget at the minute, therefore, I’m trying to cut back my beauty product spending as much as I can.
Price: At 70p, you really cannot complain about the price. They are ridiculously cheap, especially compared to the more popular brands, which cost anywhere between £2 and £5.
Quantity: You get 25 sheets per pack, which works out at less than 0.03p per sheet! Compared to the average 0.12p per sheet of most other brands, this is really good.
Packaging: Um, not really sure what I can say about the packaging. From my own experience, most cleansing wipes tend to come in very similar shaped packaging, so the only thing that I can really comment on, is the decoration, which was a blue floral design along the top of the packaging, which I thought looked quite arty.
Fragrance and Alcohol Free? All I have to say to this one is – What a load of bull crap! I hate to sound harsh on that one, but my gosh, do these absolutely stink. It’s my only grievance, and okay, so maybe the product doesn’t contain fragrance or alcohol, but something is making them smell like cheap Student Night Alco pops (think Vodka Kicks, or any of those other cheap £1 bottles that student bars are renowned for!). 
Seriously, I think if I used the entire packet, in one go, I could potentially get drunk on these babies. So, if there aren’t any fragrances or traces of alcohol in these wipes, then I really do not think that I want to know what is in them. Maybe it’s the cucumber and aloe vera? I really have not got a clue, but all I can say, is that whilst the boyfriend loved the smell (raging alcoholic, obviously ;)), they eventually made me feel sick, which is a shame.
Despite that: It really is a shame that they smelt (for me) so bad, because other than that, I did really like them, because they left my skin feeling nice, without drying it out, or leaving it feeling greasy. I also found that they were excellent at removing eye makeup remover, which was really incredibly, because usually the only product that will ever remove every trace of eye makeup, especially eyeliners and mascara, has been Simple’s Eye Makeup Remover, so it was nice to be able to use a wipe that removed every little bit, without making me need to scrub or feel like I’m about to rip the skin off. They didn’t upset my sensitive eyes, either, which I really appreciated.The only other downside of these was that they did take a while to dry on the skin, so I had to wait a good ten minutes before even thinking of applying a moisturiser.
Would I buy them again? For the first time, I’m genuinely in two minds. I love the price, and I like how they left my skin, as well as their ability to remove makeup so well, but I don’t know if I can get past that smell.
One Final Note: I would just like to point out, that I am quite sensitive to strong smells, so what I find strong, might not necessarily be so strong for you, so really don’t be put off by how much I complain about the smell of these wipes. For 70p, these really are a steal, so if you feel obliged, please do try them out, and if you don’t like them (or the smell), it’s no big deal throwing them away, but if you love them, well consider yourself better off cash wise ;)
