Teriyaki Sauce

 

If you are like me and you enjoy your food with basically any type of sauces which obviously depends on the mood and taste. Than you`ll enjoy this teriyaki sauce with pretty much anything you like. It can be enjoyed with anything it is like one of those things where once you get hooked on it you`ll stay attached to it forever. Pretty much like A-class drugs. Honestly this teriyaki sauce is just brilliant and can especially go with your healthy lunch ideas or any other meal. As long as you think it is time to have some sauce you should definitely consider having teriyaki sauce, any-ways I have said enough you enjoy it and let me know what you think about it. I want to compare and see what other thinks or how they have incorporated it in their meals or healthy lunch ideas.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 5 Tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup cornstarch dissolved in 1/3 cup water
  • 1 cup sake or dry sherry
  • 3 Tablespoons apple juice
  • one pinch black pepper
Directions:
  1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan, except cornstarch mixture.
  2. Cook for 10 minutes over medium heat.
  3. Gradually stir in dissolved cornstarch solution until mixed well.
  4. Continue cooking until thickened.
  5. Stir well before serving.
