Ted Bergqvist is a solo Swedish artist that plays songs full of passion and desire. On his new single “Crucified” piano is played with a light touch that slowly crescendos into large flowing choruses. Strings complement the piano and add to the sadness of the track. His voice is genuine in its earnestness and heartache. It’s a story of pain put into song. Not all of his songs reflect such sorrow but you can tell he really put it all into this track. The orchestration really shines, but the part that gets you the most is his voice. It has an almost punk edge to it with sensitive alternative pop notions.
