Airshows at Travis are always a great opportunity to see military transport aircraft since this is the home of the 60th Air Mobility Wing. The clouds over this year’s airshow provide a backdrop for the primary aircraft operating from this base. The 60th AMW is the largest wing in the Air Force’s Air Mobility Command, operating a fleet of C-5 Galaxies, KC-10 Extenders, and C-17 Globemaster III aircraft.
