Our highlighting feature now supports user-defined custom field highlighting! With this upgrade, you can help your users better understand why we’re showing certain results by highlighting text from any search query. Highlighting allows your users to see why specific documents are appearing, while also directing them to the most relevant results at hand.
It’s easy to get started with MindMeld’s highlighting feature. In the GET / session / :sessionid / documents endpoint, simply specify the search query in the ‘description field,’ and MindMeld will return the highlighted description segment in the ‘description_highlight’ field.
