Haeckels represents the benefits our ocean and coastal environments have to offer in terms of the health and skincare properties they hold. In an industry that has always come under scrutiny in terms of its product sourcing, Bridges follows a different strategy to offer a "natural alternative to the bland, chemical-intensive products that pervade todays marketplace".
The products themselves are a combination of hand-harvested wild seaweed and other local natural ingredients including lavender, parsley and rosemary to name a few. But what I love most about the idea behind this brand is that the raw, basic, natural ingredients that are used to produce the Haeckels products go through a process of distillation and are brought to modern day use within a very scientific and traditional laboratory style surrounding. The packaging is minimalist and just as raw and natural as the ingredients themselves; the finished product is poured into and purchased in quality laboratory glass or other various recycled containers.
Haeckels have just launched an exciting new project to build the world's first known Sea Bathing Sauna Machine, bringing together a very traditional and iconic design with a contemporary and entirely unique twist. The Sea Bathing Sauna Machine will become an icon; an entirely unique experience and a state of the art design that will not only prolong the heritage of the existing bathing machines, but also define coastal living and health and relaxation at its finest. The Sea Bathing Machine will contain both a sauna and treatment room, perfect for fragrance infused massages and seaweed facials. With the ocean around you as your plunge pool and the onset of a beautiful coastline as your view, it'll be the epitome of coastal living coupled with contemporary health ideas. The space within the sea bathing machine will be both versatile and adaptable and the mechanics will be designed in such a way to make it easily movable. It is designed to improve your wellbeing and be used all year round. Once a session has been booked the bathing machine will be wheeled down to one of the bathing pools corners.
