NYC singer-songwriter, Maggie Rogers, will release her third full-length into the world in June, and we are honored to present its first single to you today. “James” is a song of tender well-wishing and commemoration to one who was once held close but has gone away. A gently plucked banjo nudges the song along as Rogers’ weary, restrained vocals sing snapshots of James. “And you color your world with that Neverland smile/But it goes dark in pieces every once in a while/And on my birthday I told you, don’t worry, there’ll be other days/Oh, James…”
