Take a Break and Test Your Brain!

By Eowyn @DrEowyn

From Daily Mail: If counting is not your thing, you may want to look away right now. For this puzzle, created by a Playbuzz user, requires you to be good with numbers – and have a great deal of patience.

Participants are required to count the number of squares in a picture, which sounds simple enough.

The diagram seems to show a grid made of a series of squares with two other smaller squares placed in a line in the center. So how hard can it be to count the correct number of shapes?

Well, for starters there are far more squares than there immediately seem to be.

If you manage to correctly find them all, the answer to the question is 40. This is made up of eight tiny squares, 18 single squares, nine 2 x 2 squares, four 3 x 3 squares and one 4 x 4 square.

92% of the population fails to get this correct! Are you in the 92%, or in the lone 8%? I’m in the 8%, as I’m sure many of our readers will be

:)
