Tahir-ul-QadriAnnouncing not to partake in the upcoming general elections, Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that he is not ready to be the part of present corrupt system and will hold sit-ins on the polling day.

PAT chief reiterated that the formation of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is unconstitutional and the electoral reforms which had been promised with him have not been fullfilled.

While addressing to a mass rally in Liaqat Bagh on Sunday, Tahir-ul-Qadri said if members of ECP take oath that their appointment according to the constitution, than he’ll withdraw his claim about unconstitutional formation of election commission.

Tahir-ul-Qadri said that he knocked the door of Supreme Court but no one heard to him and the case was closed without coming on the actual topic.

He accused that ECP is also involved in ‘muk-muka’ with politicians and the elections under existing systems will be fraud.

PAT chief questioned that when a person with dual-nationality can become caretaker prime minister than why can’t file petition in Supreme Court.

Tahir-ul-Qadri further said he was elected as the member of national assembly in 2002 and resigned in 2004, adding sitting there he witnessed that nothing has been done there for the welfare of the nation and that’s why he commenced the movement for awareness and change in the people.

He also urged the party workers to be ready for holding sit-ins on the polling day.
