T. Reeves: Dining Out in Paris: a Review

By Johntalbott

I rarely review books here but Tom Reeves, whom I don't know amazingly because he sounds like a great lunch partner sent me his new book "Dining Out In Paris" with the subtitle - "What You Need to Know before you Get to the City of Light."

The subtitle - "What You Need to Know before you Get to the City of Light." - says it all.  This is a book for the first time visitor who wants to know about hours of service, tipping, definitions and the wide variety of types of places here - bistros, brasseries, wine bars, cafes and so forth.

He gives detailed descriptions of 12 "Top" restaurants, many of which I've never been to, but after reading them, I want to.

The book is a refreshing change from the usual guide-books.
