This Airbus is preparing for its 12 hour journey from San Francisco to Zurich.  Production of the type ended in 2011 after 377 were delivered and the market dried up with the transition to twin-engined aircraft for long distance routes.  Swiss International Air Lines currently operates 12 of these aircraft and has been removing them from service gradually.  An A340-300 serves as the executive aircraft for the German President.  Nikon D500 w/18-200 mm, processed with Aperture.
