Surface of the Sun

Posted on the 09 April 2012 by Artbycedar

This painting is self-explanatory. I painted the sun’s surface, wanting to capture the sheer heat and intensity of the fire, and the graceful shapes of the solar filaments–those constantly changing arcing wisps of burning gas!

Painting this has made me fall in love–I can tell you I’ll be reluctant to part with this one.
