Support Gay Marriage but Not Age Differences?

By Actuallystrange @ActuallyStrange

Hugh Laurie and Leighton Meester are staring in an upcoming independent film called, “The Oranges.” They have a relationship in the movie. I believe that Leighton’s character falls in love with her friend’s father. They’re twenty-three years apart in real life. Incidentally, that’s the same age gap as Bruce Willis and his wife.

I have no problem with age differences in movies or in real life, but a lot of people on the internet seem to judge it rather harshly. I don’t understand why, especially since many of these people are extremely open-minded in other areas.

For example, the majority of these people say being gay is fine because love is love no matter what…but age differences are GROSS! I’m sorry, what? What happened to your “love is love no matter what” argument?

In my opinion, you can’t be in support of gay marriage and not also support age differences. What do YOU think?
