Sugar Coated Mama styled this Neon Geo "Stache Bash" Baby shower, as told by Sugar Coated Mama
"With geometrics, moustaches and neon sooooo hot right now, call me crazy, but it was the perfect opportunity to fuse them all together for a vibrant little boy’s baby shower. Gorgeous mom to be Laurie has a wonderful sense of style, so I wanted to capture that in the theming of the event. The wildly stunning geometric piñatas on the backdrop and mini geo piñatas mixed in the giant balloon tassel tails from super talented Nicola at Party Pony Designer Piñatas got my imagination pumping. The color palette of neon green, navy blue and yellow looked great together, but I just couldn't help myself, I had to bling it up with a touch of gold...Rosehip Flowers created the cutest Billy Button flower displays to match in with the theme, as well as a flower centrepiece for the gifts table with lovely fresh lemons in the vase. Nice bit of Skirt created the neon green chevron backdrop and whipped up a very cute denim table cloth. And of course no Sugar Coated Mama party is complete without a little DIY spray paint action. This time vases and mini paint easels were in the line of neon spray paint fire, as well as my neighbour’s dog that got a little too close!
The food was also a little crazy with a neon green and yellow ombre cake from Get Frosted as the centrepiece, navy cupcakes with gold moustaches that I handpainted on, bright mint green cheesecake and chocolate mousse from Alaine at Sugar Coated Mama, geometric and moustache neon green chocolate coated oreos by My Sweeties, navy moustache cookies and baby romper cookies by Mad Midnite Baker and lots of bright yummy lollies for accent colours. I even got stuck into creating my own stache bash printables range.
We had some really fun baby shower games, my two favourites were the Picasso plate baby game, where guests had to put a paper plate on their head and draw a baby and mom to be Laurie was the judge, this was hilarious. The other fun one that got the girls dancing in their seat included name that song, with all the songs having the word baby in them ie: Baby by Justin Bieber, Hey Baby by Pitbull, Yes Sir, that’s my Baby by Frank Sinatra, Rock a bye Baby etc.
To end the neon stache bash affair, guests all got personalised take home favour boxes from Anna at Stash Creative Supplies to fill up with delicious yummies from the dessert table."
