The 2012 Summer Olympics are finally here! Time really does fly because I feel like it wasn’t that long ago since I went to the one at Beijing in 2008. Being the first city to host the Olympics three times, I’m sure London will have lots to offer for this very special international event. In commemoration of today, I’m wearing all British colours as I watch the opening ceremony.

In all honesty, I find that the Wenlock is kind of ugly…but in a cute kind of way. Did that make sense? Vancouver’s Quatchi was surely a cuter mascot. But I’m not complaining, because this one-eyed guy is a million times better than Beijing’s Fuwas…
