STYLE: Look #25 – Mint Fresh

By Jsleigh14 @jsleigh14

Mint is an interesting color to wear because it’s super lively and refreshing. There’s really no other color that can give off its effect. Unfortunately I don’t come across mint-coloured clothing items too often, so I treasure this one mint shirt that I own. I like wearing this shirt during sunny summer days because it’s a bold and eye-catching centrepiece. I also bring this shirt into Fall by layering a sweater over it and using its collar as a pop of color.

Sunglasses – Marni x H&M Spring ’12
Shirt – H&M Summer ’11 (similar from American Apparel)
Cardigan – H&M Spring ’10

This braided brown belt I’m wearing is really valuable to me because I bought it far away at San Lorenzo Market in Florence. This outdoor market is a hotspot for buying all sorts of Florentine leather goods. It’s an extremely fun place to shop because you can bargain for items and have special customizations made for you on spot. For this belt, I personally picked out its buckle and got it shortened to fit my waist perfectly (all for free!). Although this belt only cost me $50, it’s made with a very impressive leather that should last for years and years to come.
