Study Says Jerks Drive Certain Brands Of Cars.

By Nottheworstnews @NotTheWorstNews

Marketwatch reports that two studies from the U.K. and U.S. indicate that BMW drivers are more likely to be jerks than drivers of other brands of cars.

Specifically, BMW drivers were found to be less likely to stop for pedestrians at crosswalks; more likely to cheat at four way stops; and more likely to be seen exhibiting road rage.

3 Questions That Arise From This Story

1. What about Americans renting BMWs in the U.K.? Are they more likely to express road rage since they aren’t used to driving on the left side of the road? How about if the Benny Hill theme is permanently playing in the car’s six disc CD changer? (the other five discs are Oasis singing about riding with you in your BMW.)

2. What about the jerk pedestrians who are busy texting instead of looking for traffic making turns at intersections – what kind of cars to they drive? (Answer: they aren’t texting, they are driving the BMW in a Need For Speed game app on a smart phone!)

3. “I drive a BMW… does this mean I should trade it in for an environmentally friendly Toyota Prius instead? Not because I care about the environment, but because I don’t want to look like a jerk in a BMW.” Bad news! The story says Toyota Prius drivers rank high on the jerk list, too! (Perhaps because they traded in their BMW for the reasons you just thought?)
