Those who have felines at home will know that when you run out of litter and don't have any more, its a hassle to make a trip out to get some. It is also expensive. I recently read this excellent article of ways to save money on litter. I will be trying out some of the ideas shown in the article.
Right now, I am working on my own idea of shredded paper combined with (Champion Breed) litter to stretch it a bit.
So far, day one of a sprinkle of litter on the bottom with paper on top worked, but for day two I am trying paper on the bottom with a heavier sprinkling of litter on the top. If anyone is reading this, I'd love to know your ideas that help with this!
