STR8 FLEXIN’ IMPERIAL STOUT – Twin Sails Brewing

By Mike @mikescraftbeer

Twin Sails Brewing in Port Moody is getting a name for their experimental IPA's but that's not all they are experimenting with as this "STR8 FLEXIN' IMPERIAL STOUT". The beer pours an opaque black colour with a brown head. The aroma consists of roasted malts, oats, chocolate and sweetness. The flavour is of chocolate, coffee, ash, roasted malts, toffee, mild soy sauce and some alcohol. The alcohol content comes in at 11% with an IBU of 40. While I love what Twin Sails Brewing is doing with their IPA's this was an epic new imperial stout to hit the local market!

Commercial Description: Str8 Flexin' is our biggest to date and it certainly stands up to the title. Weighing in at a massive 11% ABV, Str8 Flexin' is about as big as an Imperial Stout gets. The body is BIG and the carb is low leaving the mouth feel silky and rich. Huge aromas of chocolate fudge on the nose and balanced roasted espresso and vanilla flavours round out the palette.
