Stitching Progress

By Crossstitchyourheart @TMNienaber

Today will be a short post because I really have nothing interesting to share at the moment.  I have decided this is the last week I’m going to worry about the job hunt and if nothing comes up after this week I’m just going to enjoy my summer and get ready for student-teaching at the end of August.  I’m enjoying the time off for the most part and while it would be nice to have an income I’ll have plenty to keep me busy in the fall anyway.  So I’m offering this one up to God and the universe and we’ll see what happens.

the left edge is finished!

I’ve finally got the left edge done so there is a very definite feel that the piece is almost finished!  I love the pink and oranges mixed together in the window to create the light.  It looks great, of course the effects will change once the rest of the beige cloth is covered up.  The more of the aida that gets stitched over the more the pattern looks like it’s actually set at night.

just that little space left

You can see how much I have left to go.  It doesn’t look like a lot but as we stitchers now there are probably a few thousand stitches left.  Still, it’s nice to see the pattern finally coming together and looking like something.  This is shaping up to be one of my favorite patterns so far.

As promised today’s short post is over.  Hope you all have a fantastic day, do something crafty or read a good book.  I’d also like to give a shout out to all my new followers.  I’m always shocked when wordpress tells me how many people are following my blog and I’ve gotten quite a few more this week.  So thanks to you all!  You’re awesome.
