Stepping out in Style with The Shoe Hive

By Verybusymama @verybusymama
Despite the rain and dark clouds, my mother came over to help me with the kids so that I could go out ALONE to pick up a pair of shoes from one of the best shoe shops in the area —The Shoe Hive in Alexandria.

This Friday, I, along with Angelica of Clarendon Moms (my plus one) and other area bloggers and media will be attending the red carpet premiere of White House Down with Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx — and they will BOTH be here in the nation's capital to introduce the film.
That's right MAGIC MIKE and new daddy himself Mr. Tatum and I will be in the same room and in the event of a closer encounter, I have to be ready!

Being an Alexandria mama and a regular in the Old Town Boutique District,  I was thrilled when Elizabeth, the owner of The Shoe Hive offered me a pair of shoes to wear to the premiere. She has no idea just how amazing I feel wearing something other than flats!
The shop carries a variety of footwear and accessories, including favorites such as Kate Spade, Tory Burch and Rebecca Minkoff and I love browsing the beautifully decorated shelves.
Normally shoes complete an outfit, but in this case I really didn't know what I was going to wear and I literally started from the feet up. So what do you think? Are the black open toe bow pumps cute or what?!
I am now all set for Friday and I didn't even have to buy a dress — I just went through a few of my boxes and found a dress I had bought in London just before moving. SCORE!
So please stay tuned and I hope this premiere thing actually works out. You never know, right?
¡besos!

Disclosure: I was given the black pumps to wear to the premiere. No other compensation given. All views my own, but you know that!
