I love the versatility of stencils and that they can be used with most any medium for any type of project.   Today I’m excited to be part of Rebekah Meier’s Blog Hop with her new line of Mandala inspired stencils by The Crafter’s Workshop and share my Stenciled Soldered Pendant.  Rebekah sent me four of her new 6×6 stencils to play with.   After playing with these, I know I need the 12×12 stencils too!

:-)
I love the designs these create both standard and reversed.  While I was playing with them, I realized I loved even the smaller patterns within so I decided to create a project showing that sometimes you can focus in and use just a part of one stencil.

I used Dylusions Ink to spray through TCW462s Stained Glass stencil focusing my color on the center that I knew I’d use.   I then cut the edge away from the sprayed mandala circle to give me a ‘ballpark guide’ so that I could line up the reverse image on the back.  I then used the still wet stencil to stamp the reversed image on the back.  It didn’t line up exact, but I’m perfectly fine with that!

I used 2” memory glass to trace the center square and added a Pink Paislee rub-on for my sentiment.  I then placed the paper piece between 2 pieces of memory glass.  After wrapping the edges in copper foil, I soldered the edges as well as practiced sinking a jump ring in my solder to create a pendant.

Here is you can see the front and back of my Stenciled Soldered Pendant as I like to add something to the back of pendants too!

I hope you will take the time to see all the other amazing projects today created by some of Rebekah’s friends.
