John Isner
Tennis America post-Andy Roddick is a frustrating animal. There has been no apparent heir to Roddick’s throne, the closest being John Isner, but Isner’s lack of killer instinct is preventing him making an assault on the top 10.
The US is not short of younger talent however, with Jack Sock, Tim Smyczek and Denis Kudla all within the top 100. None of them have yet set the world on fire as of yet.

So what’s going on behind them? There are in fact plenty of young players ranked just below 100 ready to break through and possibly in 2014. My top picks include Steve Johnson, Denis Kudla, Jack Sock, Rhyne Williams, Ryan Harrison & Tim Smyczek.
My top pick for the top however, goes to Bradley Kahn: Currently ranked 64 and at 23 years old, this left-hander has some good tennis years ahead of him. He played 4 years at Stanford (2009-12) and was an All-American from (2010-12)
