The U.S. Census Bureau released data on the number of startups and how many jobs those startups created in the United States. The latest data is from 2013 and shows that startups contributed to net job creation at 2.3 million, well below the prerecession peak of 3.5 million jobs in 2006. The infographic also highlights which states saw the most and least job growth from startups.
