Stand Out Sweaters for Winter

By Verybusymama @verybusymama
Ahhhh, sweaters (or jumpers).
They make me think warm and happy thoughts - mulled wine, a crackling fire, falling snow and Christmas. They are not just an item of clothing, but a winter must have and this season, they are back in all sorts of fun prints and designs (Marc Darcy's reindeer jumper from Bridget Jones's Diary would totally be acceptable now!)
Back in the day it was super geeky to wear them (remember those terrible school pictures?!) but now the geek/print look is back and I'm all over it.
Being nearly 26 weeks pregnant, I am practically out of my normal clothes (expect for a few tops here and there) and I've had to buy a few sweaters and blouses to fit over the bump. Like I've mentioned before, I am trying not to overspend on maternity wear, but instead buying up a size or two in regular clothes.
Take this Mossimo Multicolored Pullover Sweater from Target ($27.99). I bought it in an XL to go over the bump and then I can still wear it after the babe is born over leggings and/or jeans.

There are loads of fun looking and well priced sweaters out there you can get at H&M, Forever 21, Old Navy and Target (just to name a few).
Don't be afraid to wear a blouse or button down underneath and show off a bit of the collar. It's a look that works with everyone, whether you are going to work, meeting with friends or staying at home with the kids.
Preppy + Geek = Chic
