Stage 6 Is Another Stage For The Tour's Sprinters

There were two climbs in the 194 kilometer stage 6 of this year's Tour de France, but they were not real difficult climbs. The peloton was able to rein in a four-man breakaway with about 20 kilometers to go, and then the teams set up their sprinters for the finish. The race's strongest sprinter this year, Marcel Kittel of Germany, had a mechanical problem in the last couple of meters -- and that allowed fellow German Andre Greipel to win the stage. Norway's Alexander Kristoff finished in second and Samuel Dumoulin finished third. Since the peloton finished as a group, the overall standings remained the same. Here are the current standings:
