Barcelona’s Argentinian wonder kid Lionel Messi and Chelsea Belgium superstar Eden Hazard are the testimonial actors for the Christmas FIFA 15 commercial and it is not as cheesy as it sounds.
So you must have recognized popular Christmas song “Deck the Bells” by Chris Popkey of which title has been re-written “Kick the Balls”. Produced by Dutch agency Wieden+Kennedy it is not available for downloads and we would be curious to read the new lyrics too. This year Fifa 15 is packed with new features such as the limited duration of matches of loan players and the Concept Squad where players have an access to the game database and can create a “dream squad”. Besides a number of legendary players will be available mentioning just a few: Roberto Carlos, Franz Beckenbauer, Hristo Stoichkov and Peter Schmeichel.
In the video, being home all alone, Messi and Hazard spend their Christmas time playing their own characters on FIFA (which is a more realistic scenario then seeing them surrounded by singing decorations and speaking gingerbread men) showing some decent football (and acting) skills while bouncing at the sound of “Kick the Balls”..lalalalalalaalla.
